Rental Conditions
General information
The renter must hold and show a driving license issued at least 1 year before and an additional document like an identity card or passport.
In addition to the normal driving licence, an international driving licence is also mandatory if the driving licence is issued by a country that did not ratify the Vienna Convention. Please note that the international driving licence is valid only if accompanied by the national driving licence.
The renter is required to be aged 21 or over.
Fuel is not included in the rental cost.
The renter receives the vehicle with a full fuel tank and should return it as such.
Payment
The rental is payed up front in cash, money transfer or credit/debit card.
Deposit
The deposit can be paid in cash, money transfer or by credit card. For credit card holders the deposit is blocked (pre-authorised) on the card’s account for the time of the rental. The cancellation of the pre-authorisation or return of deposit is completed when the vehicle is returned undamaged and there are no other charges due. When returning a dirty vehicle or after sunset the cancellation or return may occur the next day when inspection is possible.
Driving out of Poland
The renter is allowed to travel out of Poland only after receiving written permission from a MiCaR representative. There is a surcharge for this service which does not include delivery vans.
Important
If the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, MiCaR reserves the right to offer another similar vehicle.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation of the rental MiCaR is entitled to compensation of 10% of rental costs, but not less than 200 zł. If the rental cost is below this amount then compensation will equal the rental cost.
The liability for damage
The renter is liable up to the amount of the deposit for damage caused to the vehicle, unless a third party is held responsible, which is stated officially in a police report.
You are liable in full for all fees, taxes, fines and penalties incurred in connection with the use of the rented vehicle.
